YouTube Frames is a new way of viewing the storyboard of the YouTube videos that give users a much a better idea of what’s inside any YouTube video . For instance, here’s the YouTube generated storyboard for  iPhone5- Rumours video.

Demo: iPhone5- next iPhone rumour update video
With the help of YouTube frames you can quickly review what's inside the video to decide whether to watch it or to skip it and save time by gathering the information from the frames. Internally, YouTube splits the video into multiple segments and each of these segments is represented with a single image frame. All these frames are then stitched together to form one big image that can help you visualize the entire video at a glance. When you watch a video on YouTube, your browser downloads the corresponding storyboard images in the background and is stored in browser cache and difficult to retrieve but this bookmarklet will easily solve you purpose.

Just add [Drag it to you bookmark tool-bar] the following YouTube Frames bookmarklet to your browser.

Open any video on the YouTube, then click the bookmarklet and it would display all the still image frames of that video on one page.
Note: it won’t work for embedded videos

YouTube Player Now offers different Playback Speed for Videos
The YouTube player now also lets you alter the playback speed of a video so that you may fast-forward, or slow-down, the video with a click of button Speed (screenshot).

You can increase the video playback speed by 2x or slow it down by a factor to 1/4x(.25 times). You can Increase the YouTube video play speed if the video presentation is boring or needs less attention and you can also decrease the YouTube video playback speed when you are transcribing what’s being said in the video.

Its Google again, It looks like they want to renovate it all in July,Google had given new looks to its most popular product i.e YouTube . Below is the screen shot of the new looks of the YouTube player.

YouTube Player's New Looks

The looks doesn't have any change in the controls of the YouTube player , the change is only brought up in the colour scheme which is similar to the Google's home page ,the control bar is turned into black colour replacing the previous white colour. This change in YouTube may be also a part part of Google Plus effect, And I Hope there might be more changes in YouTube's overall looks also in coming weeks.

What do you think about Youtube Player's new design? What are your views about this new design? Do comment.
